Join us to learn about holiday plants you can grow, enjoy and gift and one you might want to avoid.

This presentation will help you learn to grow and care for holiday plants. Learn how to force paperwhites, hyacinth, and amaryllis to bloom indoors in the dead of winter. Improve your care for your holiday cactus and learn how to propagate it to gift to others. Understand how to care for a poinsettia so you might enjoy it again next year. And learn why mistletoe isn’t always a good thing.

About the Speakers

Terry Lippert has spent more than twenty-five years enjoying a year-round Bay Area garden and cultivating a wide variety of indoor plants. She trained as a UC Master Gardener of Contra Costa County in 2010, after retiring from a career as a corporate attorney with a San Francisco law firm. Terry previously served a three-year stint as Coordinator of the Master Gardeners Help Desk and a two-year term as co-coordinator of the New Volunteer Training Program. She regularly presents programs for our Speakers Bureau and Growing Gardeners programs and enjoys answering questions submitted to the Help Desk.
