Succulents are beautiful, generally low maintenance, and low water use plants. They are also excellent choices for a fire safe landscape. Learn how to select, grow, identify, and troubleshoot common issues, as well as propagate these plants for both indoor and outdoor enjoyment.
About the Speakers
Anna Frankfurt has been a Master Gardener volunteer since 2013 and she has loved gardening since age 10. Anna has worked with succulents for 16 years as part of the succulent study group of the El Cerrito Garden Club. She participates in the Ask a Master Gardener Program at multiple farmer’s markets and single day events and is a former lead for both the Pinole and Kensington markets. Anna is a member of the Speakers Bureau as both a speaker and moderator for the library webinars.
Laura Brainin-Rodriguez has been a Master Gardener volunteer since 2018. Laura has always loved plants. She learned the hard way to care for succulents. She has still not managed to keep a firestick plant alive (Euphorbia tirucalli) but has finally done better with Echeverias! She is a Co-Lead of the Ask a Master Gardener Project, the AAMG table at the Kensington farmers market and the Jardineros Project.
