With inflation being front and center of our everyday life, we know food insecurity is on the rise. Though we may sometimes feel helpless about the situation, there is something we can do to help. The least we can do is to help Food Bank sort their food donations.
On Thursday, October 29, a group of us will meet from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Food Bank Contra Costa and Solano to help with sorting food donations so that the rest of the team will be able to allocate them for the next steps.
This event is for Mt. Diablo Village members and volunteers who would like to contribute their time to make the community a little bit better. Cut off time for registration for this event is 2 p.m. on October 28.
