Covid-19: An Update

We have now nearly completed six years of the Covid-19 pandemic. It has been an unprecedented time for all of us. In this presentation, Dr. Swartzberg will address some of the nuts and bolts about this pandemic with a focus on what we as individuals can do to live our lives while mitigating the risk for infection and serious disease. Dr. Swartzberg will also discuss how we navigate the months of October through April, also known as the “respiratory season” as we must also deal with influenza and RSV. He will save time for questions and they are welcomed.

Dr. Swartzberg was born and raised in the East Bay, and Cal is his undergraduate alma mater. He practiced internal medicine and infectious diseases in Berkeley until 2001. He has spent many years teaching infectious diseases at UCSF and UC Berkeley and has been a professor at UCB's School of Public Health since the '90s. Currently, he continues to mentor students and is the editor of the UC Berkeley Wellness Letter.
