Belinda Luu is a Senior Counsel at Kaiser Permanente. Ms. Luu has been a strategic Leader of AI and data management and governance with over 20 years of experience in AI, data, digital
transformation, complex technology transactions, and intellectual property. Belinda leads the AI
Regulatory & Analysis Team at Kaiser Permanente, and sits on the State of California Data Exchange Framework Policy and Procedures Committee. She was twice awarded the “American Bar Association Outstanding Leadership Award” for leading the American Bar Association’s Copyrights, AI, & Emerging Technology Committee and she was nominated for the "Women To Watch" Award From Business Insurance by Kaiser Permanente's Chief Data Officer. Belinda is a Board Member of Asian Health Services, a community healthcare service provider, and was Co-Chair of the Women’s Committee on the Asian American Bar Association. Belinda is a frequent speaker on the topics of AI, Big Data, digital transformation, and health care innovation.
Tom Hui is the founder and former CEO and Chairman of HSTpathways, a leading provider of cloud
based software solutions for the ambulatory surgery center (ASC) industry, with over 30 years of
innovation in ASC technology. Hui holds a B.S. with Honors in Biology from the University of Oregon.
Hui’s private foundation awards grants to promote STEM education and research. It funded a Women
in Science and Math program in 2021 with an average of 40 women per cohort and the “Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact” for the past 3 years with the Knight Foundation. There are 10 to 12 students in the Knight “Bioengineering” program. Hui has been a mentor and lecturer at UC Berkeley’s SCET program (Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology). Tom Hui is a pioneering figure in ASC healthcare technology, known for founding HST Pathways, innovating ASC software, and championing STEM education through philanthropic efforts.
